I juuuust finished the GIFset for this prompt! :DDD Game of Thrones + BLUE (A Song of Ice and Fire) here on my tumblr
(alternate title was The Dragon has Three heads LOL).

This is Katherine Pierce, one of my faves! Her catchphrase is "Better you die than I." She's the best Petrova doppleganger on The Vampire Diaries, and a vampire who is over 500 years old. This particular scene was when she was trapped in a room courtesy of a Big Bad called Klaus and made the most of it by drinking. I stopped watching TVD in S5 and I heard they killed her off so no regrets about dropping the show.
This is Caroline Forbes, also from TVD. This is the priceless WTF reaction she made when her boyfriend said something stupid.
I made this from the FFVII remake trailer that came out a few weeks ago. Tifa and Cloud are both small town teens here with big dreams and romantic ideas. After Cloud tells Tifa that he plans to become an elite SOLDIER, Tifa asks Cloud to promise to be her hero and rescue her if she's ever in a bind, and he agrees. (We find out later that this scene is not exactly as it appears on the surface, but it's still sweet and one of the prettiest backgrounds in the game.)

Feb. 24th, 2020 02:42 pmSo I put off watching this movie forever because I just... didn't need it? But I watched it with my kids a few months ago, and I have to admit it was a great story. I think it would strike less of a chord with kids than parents though, so I'm betting toy and ticket sales were not amazing? Anyway, I had to make icons for the lines my kids and I keep reciting to each other and Woody's judgey face is the beeest. Plus Duke Kaboom was voiced by Keanu Reeves!

Feb. 6th, 2020 11:54 amSo I finished the first season and it was... okay? Like it didn't make me have all the fannish feels the way I thought I might. The characters were a bit flat and two dimensional. I was also disappointed by how Ming Na Wen only appeared for a single ep and I have so many questions about Mandalorian culture now. Dinner parties are totally not a thing, I guess? Food, culture and relationships are so intricately linked for me, personally, that I don't even get how it works if everybody always has to hare off to their rooms to eat in private. Also: doesn't the inside of that helmet get whiffy AF? Don't they miss knowing the scent of things and places? Having peripheral vision? And do you have to keep the helmet on even when you're getting intimate with somebody? It all just seems so terribly strict and impractical that I don't understand how so many Mandalorians managed to keep their helmets. I would have been a barefaced Mandalorian from like, day 2.
Anyway, it was good enough that I will watch S2, which apparently will be out in Oct 2020.
And I made icons because The Child was just begging for them. He's just so cute and memeable! GIF ones are sized for DW and won't work on LJ, but the stills will work on both. :) As always, let me know if you have any requests!

I redid a couple of the GIF ones too and I'm much happier with how they turned out- had to download a new program to rip Youtube videos with HD quality to get a proper base to work with. rhoda_rants I made two Sephiroth ones- did you want a full body one? I'm thinking one with him in flames might be neat, but I do love the ole snake eyes effect of just the headshots. Let me know!

FFVII REMAKE
Feb. 1st, 2020 05:21 pmwheatear already put this up this morning but I need a copy on my DW too! WHO ELSE IS TOTALLY HYPED ABOUT THIS?! REEVE IS EVEN IN THIS TRAILER! He wasn't in a single cutscene in the original! I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY PUT THE HONEYBEE SCENE IN THE TRAILER. :DDDD And Hojo is perfectly creepy and Scarlet delightfully OTT and Palmer actually talks about butter. The only thing missing was Rufus.IMO Miss Cloud totally didn't deserve to win with this effort but hopefully we can make him even prettier in actual gameplay!

fandom_stocking seems to be inactive this year? But I found a very similar comm called holiday_wishes via dhampyresa so my list is here! Also, if anybody would like little treats from Japan (origami, washi tape, bento box supplies, snacks, tea, sheet masks etc.) let me know via PM or post on the comm and I will do the Elf thingy! :DDDD Happy to send off some presents because Japan Post is Da Bomb and both cheap AND efficient AND I bought Miffy and kitty cats with yarn stamps so I want to stick them on stuff. (Such a delight after Canada Post!) Also I have a job now so I can afford to buy things again, which is such a pleasure. LOL
Speaking of which, I have a new laptop after wrecking both my old ones in the last three months. The 2 year old one tipped backwards off the counter while I was watching stuff while washing dishes and fatally cracked the HD; the other fell off my desk earlier this week when I accidentally stepped on the cord and the plug snapped off inside it. So I could probably find a replacement cord for the latter and extract the snapped off bit, but a check on amazon said that cord would be about $40 and that laptop is already 5 years old and the left part of the keyboard is borken. So I splurged on a replacement and OMGosh guys it has 8GB of RAM and I feel so spoiled by how fast it is. ICONS BE COMING, probably Black Widow, The Mandalorian for Baby Yoda, TDP and Toy Story 4 because I need a TRASH?! icon and a Yes We Canada icon. Probably also Star Wars: RoS and HTTYD light fury babies.
Leave me a request here if you want anything in particular! I can make both stills and GIF icons, and my next day off is Tuesday. :D
