I've finished my Thor/Valkyrie 5+1 things story and ugh, something isn't right with the ending and I think I just need a fresh set of eyes on it. Anybody? It's less than 1500 words. A better decision may be to cut out most of it and just publish the bits I really like. LOL

Oh! And

chocolateboxcomm is taking nominations until Dec. 29 so get your noms in! It's one of the lowest commitment exchanges (500 words!) and I got such a great story last year that I am PUMPED that it's back!

One of the awesome things that the MCU allows for is the capacity to focus on the relationship between two seemingly mismatched Avengers outside of an Avengers film. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we were able to see Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanov grow, bond and understand each other despite initially having little in common. They’ve done this successfully again with two more dynamics in Thor: Ragnarok: that between both Thor&the Hulk and Thor&Bruce Banner. In fact, despite this being a Thor titled film, both the Hulk and Banner got far more character development than they’ve seen onscreen since the original Avengers- especially the Hulk.

So I noticed a couple of details this re-watch. I fret a lot writing fic when a movie is still in theatres because I hate not getting worldbuilding details right BUT:

So I went to see it opening weekend and IT WAS AMAZING. Clever, funny, and ahhhh I am never not going to love prophecy tropes. It actually made AOU a little less disappointing in retrospect- the references to the visions Thor saw ("You are leading us to Hel. You are a destroyer, Odinson.") and Natasha's Hulk lullaby were A+. I'm going to see it again Tuesday, I think, but in the meantime have a list of my favourite bits:
