Ragnarok again

nrgburstSo I noticed a couple of details this re-watch. I fret a lot writing fic when a movie is still in theatres because I hate not getting worldbuilding details right BUT:
It went by too fast the first time for me but this time it was interesting to hear that the tipping point was when Hela's power outstripped Odin's, not just when she made the treasonous grab for the throne. LOL Typical shitty powerful male. I'd be pissed too if I were her. Probably not as massacre-y, but you know.
Hela's cape conveniently repels projectiles. LOL I've always thought that hand-to-hand combat is pretty ridiculous in canons where they totally have access to guns/laser blasters etc. but that is a pretty good WELL SHE'S GOT AUTO BARRIER excuse.
Valkyrie lost her Dragonfang in that last fight! She actually got to "drive her sword through the heart of that murderous hag", but unlike here, she was totally not holding it after flipping over Hela and Thor. Misleading trailers are misleading, and I wonder why. (The Thor eye reveal is obvious, but this???)
I have less hope for Hela surviving to Infinity War now. It looked like she went POOF in a cloud of green smoke under Surtur's sword. :( She obviously survived being stabbed in the chest but we've seen Thor survive that too, so maybe not all hope is lost? Or maybe she pulled a Loki illusion?
Tessa Thompson is credited as Valkyrie! It can't be the character's actual name though, so it makes me feel weird to read fic where everyone calls her that. I wonder what the MCU canon source is for Brunnhilde (listed in the AO3 tags as her alias) though?
Valkyrie mentioned that it would take around 18 months to travel from from Xandar to Asgard using the Grandmaster's fancy ship. So they are nearish GotG territory!
Best detail gleaned: Thor totally has a new set of black armor on in that post credits scene! So even though it probably means they filmed the scene for Infinity War early on and tacked it onto Ragnarok in post-production, one can also posit that some time has passed between them leaving Asgard and Thanos coming to collect the Tesseract. (And possibly the Soul Stone- anyone else think Heimdall holds it? How else can he magically see everything?) Because if Loki didn't steal it and the Ice chest thingy that superpowers Frost Giants when given the chance, I'm going to eat my hat.

Which one is the soul-stone again? And, yeah, you just know Loki helped himself to Asgard's treasures before he put the sword in the fire. Because he does that. The interesting question is how he keeps it under wraps in the ship...
