Day 11
In your own space, talk about a creator. Show us why you think they are amazing.
This one is a toughie- I don't think I am ever like, one of mind and soul~ with anybody across fandoms and years. But here are some people whose creative work I've enjoyed across fandoms and years:
wheatear
Her Shera/Cid drabble collection for FFVII was one of those pieces that really showed me how fic could have both heart and architecture. And she got me into TVD with her Katherine meta.
12_12_12
Has always posted the most interesting, thought provoking (and carefully referenced) meta! Top fandoms include: TVD, ATLA and Reign.
tielan
I first found her through her Pacific Rim fics, and she's one of the most consistently solid writers I follow (now for SW and MCU). Not just for well-written, female-centric fic, but for thoughtful discussion too.
Margo_Kim
You have probably read A Rose by any Other Designation fic for SW: TFA , but I first discovered this author in The Hobbit fandom with this gorgeous Bagginshield piece. Also consistently excellent writing that captures characters, humor and narrative themes so beautifully that I'm always in constant awe.
Also want to signal boost for
fandom_stocking : pinch hitters needed! Sign up here if you can help out, even with just a drabble or two!
ETA: does anybody else have consistent problems getting DW to cut something properly? I STG I'm doing the correct thing in post editor mode (selecting the part I want cut, then hitting CUT, then adding the cut text in the pop up box), but then it just switches the cut tag to div for some reason? And manually replacing the final /div tag with /cut and removing the randomly inserted /cut (which somehow ends up halfway up the page?!) in html mode isn't working. ARGH. Tips?
ETA 2: I'm deleting all div type tags and replacing with a href because at least THAT works. RAWR. I just want things to format sleek and pretty.

Date: 2017-01-13 12:49 am (UTC)So you usually crosspost from LJ instead of vice versa? I find the post editor there easier to use, but it also tends to hog all my internet bandwidth too (which knocks out my internet). I think it's because LJ keeps trying to pop up ads and then taking them back because I have a paid account, although I can see urls loading in the bottom corner.
