I'm focusing on fic that wasn't written for any collection or front page of filters, so it gets fewer hits/exposure by default. My whole bookmarks list is full of awesome, especially after Yuletide, so if you like these browse away!
Tidings of comfort and potatoes by filigree (The Martian, Mindy Park&Mark Watney)
I rec this fic a lot because it is epistolary perfection. And it makes a minor character like Mindy Park come alive.
To Watney (v.) by Yeomanrand (The Martian, Mark Watney)
A totally on point flash fic. Because the English language (and Mark Watney) are awesome.
Blame by TFLatte (Moana, Moana&Maui)
This is the perfect missing scene fic that explores Maui's thought process in film.
you are my single silence by amillionsmiles (Rogue One, Chirrut/Baze)
Beautiful and brief, the way it explores who really was the martyr in their relationship is pure poetry.
shines through the light by mahariels (The Force Awakens, Finn/Rey)
Finn, dreaming in the after. Gorgeous characterization, worldbuilding details and stream of consciousness prose.
GIFsets: (GotG, Star Wars prequels and TFA, AoU/CW)
Okay, all of these have thousands of notes, but they are basically what I aspire toward

GotG lends itself to gorgeous, colorful scenes, but the choices to compose this set are perfect, for both their visual symbolism and predominant colour scheme. Also look at the clarity of each GIF!

This Anakin set is a beautiful study of parallels and contrasts. Link is to my blog because the creator's theme only displays like, 2/3 of the set and in fuzzy quality.

It isn't perfect (since sols/days don't align exactly) but it is better than nothing. Here is a timeline and the flightpaths according to an actual NASA mission designer. There's a link there to the scientific paper she wrote about it too!
Plus here's a video Weir made about the flightpath. He leaves out Mercury and Venus on it, but it helped me to figure out where the Hermes would be.
