So guess who saw TFA again in 3D today? :DDD Plus look at what they were giving away with each ticket!

I loved it even more in 3D although I cringed even harder every time the Millennium Falcon smashed into something (YOU KNOW IN RotJ HAN WAS PROMISED NOT A SCRATCH DAMMIT) and I actually cried a little at the Han/Ren scene DON'T LOOK AT ME. Plus the Rey x Finn friendship and parallels were even more obvious and heartwarming the second time round. Like the visual parallel with the helmets straight off the bat, and the way they were I CAN DO THIS. I CAN DO THIS in that first dogfight and then the excited talking at the same time (but actually listening!) MY GRINCHY HEART GREW A COUPLE SIZES. <3

I still couldn't stop laughing at Kylo Ren and loving his rivalry with Hux. XD He totally beats the pants off Anakin for tantrum sizes and entitlement and he isn't even Jedi Jesus. LOL I'm wondering if his wavering is what threw Finn off his conditioning too. Or was sensing Finn's change of heart and sympathizing what prompted his emotional crisis? WE ARE GOING TO FIND OUT RIGHT.

Also I am totally writing this fic now. The Jedi and The First Order are even more explicitly paralleled than the Jedi and the Sith in the other films. Terrible choices on either side of the Force- best to be like Maz and be neither, methinks.

LOL True. But if he's spends more time learning about himself instead of constantly being forced into some kind of role by all the shady power players, I think he'll end up slightly more mentally stable. LOL

What??? Why? He was TERRIBLE. XDDDD Good looking af, but AWFUL. Like I watch some of the scenes and I am just CRINGING and thinking How is this the take they chose for the final edit?!
Also I'm annoyed they retconned him into RotJ. The version I watched as a kid had the grown up Anakin getting his redemption and being the Force ghost, not reverting back to when he was young as if the interim years and final act of self sacrifice were less important than his time as a Jedi a billion years ago. *glares at DVD on shelf*

Different strokes I guess. But to come back to the good looking part....I do thirst for him a lot lmfao Do I wanna check out how he's aged? lol

I still haven't watched RotJ, nevermind any original version, so I'm def not affected that way xDDD I've read there was some editing involved in the Blu Rays or re-releases or something and that does sound...shitty lol.

He's Canadian, so he did some ads with a Canadian clothing company last year, maybe? Still looks fiiine. :DD He married Rachel Bilson and they had a kid.

It totally undermines the whole premise of the prophecy (that he destroyed the Sith in one fell swoop, both master and apprentice) and how he fought for redemption despite all the terrible things he'd done. aaargh. I HATE THAT.

Oh wow, that's such a cute postcard. BB-8 is super adorbs and I like her more each time I see the movie. Which is three times now and I'm seeing it again with my friend on NYE, oop.

You totally need to send me a Kylo Ren postcard if you get one, because then I'll love you forever, and you want that, don't you?

I won't judge you for crying during the Ben/Han scene, it was totally amazing and probably the best of the film IMO. So much going on with the hidden meanings behind the dialogue and the fruitlessness of Han's attempt to bring his son back to the light. Loves it. <33

I never thought of Finn being affected by Ben's battle with the light in himself as to what would cause him to shake off the stormtrooper conditioning, it's an interesting theory. I figured he was just force sensitive and it helped him to do it, but I am fascinated as to why he's the only one that we've seen so far who was all, "Nope" @ having to carry out their murderous dirty work. Bring on VIII and hopefully an explanation.

I am actually a bit appalled that I didn't get a postcard the first time! We booked tickets online and got them from the machine, which is why. :( I still have the stub though, so I will go in and beg ask

I figure he's force sensitive too. And I'm more on the Rey/Finn train after the second watch, although the corners of fandom I watch are very adamantly Finn/Poe. LOL

SUCH A LONG WAIT THOUGH. One of my friend's kids expected the new movie to come out in 2016 and started crying actual tears when he was told not 'til spring 2017. XD I FEEL YOU MAN.

Pretty good, although my friend is so damn obnoxious when we see movies when it comes to her mobile. The last two we went to she was texting so damn much, and during this one she took her phone out a few times and was taking pictures with flash. >:| I told her to stop but she never listens to me and doesn't get why it's such a big deal, ugh. I still enjoyed the hell out of the movie though.

Lol, you totally need to go and get the postcard you missed out on, that sucks you didn't get it when you first went.

I don't actually ship anyone for the movie, but it's clear they're setting Rey/Finn up, and it's cute. Fandom is very Finn/Poe, but the people who think it's going to be canon are setting themselves up for disappointment. It's Disney and SW for crying out loud, and all the hints were clearly for Rey/Finn. Idgi tbh.

Haha at that kid crying that it's not coming out until 2017. That'll feel like forever for a child, but for us it'll be like, oh shit, where did the time go, why's it already time for another one of these when we only just watched the first one?! XD
