May and Skye as a team. I LOVE IT. Like the trust between them already, that May worked on her weaknesses first. PLUS THEY WERE TOTALLY BADASS. :DDDD

I think that it was May on the bike though, not Skye. Skye's in the jet.

Trip did, indeed, look good.

I was pretty happy to see Ward if I'm honest.

Yeah...facial hair on men totally does not do it for me. It was a great scene but I am smelling a redemption arc and I actually don't want that. LOL I like Evil Ward. He's more interesting. The whole time he's all "I would do anything for love" I'm waiting for the "but I won't do that".

I want Jemma to be trying to replicate the serum that brought Skye and Coulson back, doing something totally unethical to fix him. (Is that wrong of me? LOL) I like following the rules and doing what's expected of me. It makes me feel nice.

Yup. Pretty certain that Trip +/- Skye was piloting the jet and May is on the bike. The promo for next week pretty much confirmed that for me.

But, see, I don't think that scene made Ward out to be not!Evil. If anything, for me, it was even worse than the end of last season. Because he's trying to make Skye FEEL for him. And doubt the others. And it's gaslighting and I don't like it AND I DON'T WANT IT. I don't mind if Ward is evil. Or morally dubious. I just don't want him to turn into someone who is part of an OSG storyline with Skye at the centre.

I LOVE THAT IDEA ABOUT JEMMA. I have never seen the romance side of FitzSimmons, but I know that she loves him as her best friend and I believe that she would be doing anything and everything to try and help him.

I need any AoS icons tbh, I just have a zillion ones from the movies, but none from the show. Hopefully some good ones will come out of this episode, because I definitely want a few.

I'm nhf Lucy Lawless' character dying either, wtf? I hope that's not the end of her, she has to come back somehow. Bucky survived losing his arm and falling from a train, this should be easy as pie. And I have to say I'm a little disappointed they had her playing American, why couldn't she have kept her real accent? There's a Scottish dude on the show, our accents can't be much more difficult to understand. What if I want to become a Shield agent when I grow up, I need a role model for this possible career path, dammit. XD

I loved seeing Skye and May working so well together, especially after the frosty start they had last season, even if May was starting to warm to her then. I can't wait to see more of them.

Trip in that uniform. o_o Yassssss.

Looks like we are getting it yesssss I can't remember if she made it out of the Hub with Skye's blood sample? Just that she wasn't able to figure out how to replicate "the drug" that brought her back to life and needed more resources. But I have a theory that that is why she left- to go do unethical things to get Fitz back to himself.

And maybe Isabelle Hartley isn't as done as she appeared- Lucy Lawless has said that she may be in other episodes or Marvel properties. (Maybe as flashbacks, but also maybe as ooh magical properties of the Obelisk blahblah, bend a couple rules about the permanence of death etc.) FINGERS CROSSED

Ooh, I like your theory of why Simmons left, it certainly would make a lot of sense. Now watch us both be disappointed when it doesn't happen. :/

My fingers are crossed as hard as they can be for Hartley to show up again, but yeah, I won't get my hopes up on that either and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Well, I've done some re-watching and:
1. She knows about its cellular regeneration properties (but not its side effects), and it's Fitz's only hope of regaining his normal capabilities again.
2. The last time we see her try to unravel its mystery, she's uploaded the data to Dr. Weaver at the academy, who says "If you make it out alive you know where to find me".
3. She knows Coulson is dead against her researching this. ("I like following the rules and doing what's expected of me. It makes me feel nice.")
4. She's "getting better at [lying]" by her own admission.

So I'm hoping to see Simmons pull a Skye and work outside the system, and without Fitz. Please show pleeeeaase!

But more disturbing spec: I'm worried that Raina lied to Garrett about giving him the last of the serum. She also has the bulk of the serum research, both the stuff Hydra/Centipede did on those last 4 vials (seriously, why would she distill the 4 into 1 after realizing he only intended to use it on himself?) and that Simmons did on the Bus. And with Fitz extracting a promise from Jemma about how he would be lost if she went over to Hydra... well, this is a Whedon show, right? They sure like to make good on their foreshadowing, ("Simmons is seriously starting to unravel without Fitz." 1x07. WTF.) and this season's buzzphrase seems to be "Go dark", which could be a metaphor for all their character arcs too...

I actually love the FitzSimmons thing because it's heartbreaking. Conflict is interesting! Or maybe I'm just twisted.

There should be Tripp in every scene. I would watch a whole show of him flirting with Skye.

Oh, conflict drives a story for sure! But I much prefer organic conflict, and this feels like an Anvil instead of dawning comprehension about how their co-dependence actually hampers them. (Although now that I think about it, it was referenced/foreshadowed before, in 1x07, when Skye talked about how Jemma was "seriously starting to unravel without Fitz"! Stuff like that makes me love this show even more. LOL)

To be fair, they may have needed an Anvil to jolt them out of comfortable complacency about their relationship, especially with everybody else enabling them, but still. OWWWWW FITZ IS BROKEN

Now all I need is for Jemma to be making unethical bad girl decisions about getting her best friend back, even though they don't "make her feel nice". :D

Loved seeing Ward - and I totally see why Skye feels the way she does, I would in her position, too.
