1: are there any fics that you wanted to leave multiple kudos for, and were disappointed when you could only leave one?
OF COURSE. I actually automatically hit the button if I get to the end of a chapter/fic- you held me all the way to the end: KUDOS!
2: coffeeshop AU or soulmate AU?
SOULMATES AU HANDS DOWN this Bran/Jojen one I read recently has adorable cursing in it. I swear.
3: slowburn or established relationship?
Okay, I'm probably the only person here who goes uggggh noooooo when I see that the fic is slowburn and is over 100000 words. But I still tend to click more on shorter slow burn fics than established relationship type ones, methinks.
4: has a fic ever made you cry?
YES.
5: what category of fics do you read the most? (angst, fluff, etc)
Angst, maybe? I kind of wish Gendrya fandom were over the modern AU phase because I don't adore them but it's almost all anybody reads or recs nowadays.
6: what’s your least favourite fanfic category?
does this mean genre? I stay away from anything tagged body horror and recently, modern au unless it's by an author I already trust. I don't know that I come across much horror genre fic though.
7: would you rather read a plot-focused fic or pwp?
plot focused for sure.
9: what are your favourite ships to read fics for?
Gendrya, Bran/Jojen, Sansa/Margaery of late. Also Barabas/Christopher.
10: have/would you read a reader-insert fic?
LOL I don't seek them out. But as a GIFmaker I get lots of Faceclaims on tumblr using my GIFs and Brand new captions in FUnKy FonTs along with "(Y/N) strode up to hot male character..." and it took me forever to realize it meant "your name" not "Yes/No"
11: ever read guilty pleasure fics?
Who doesn't? This Gendry gets pegged fic is a classic.
12: first-person or third person fics?
Third person!
13: do you read author’s notes usually?
Yup. I love details and background info and links.
14: what’s your favourite AU setting?
Canon AU EVERYBODY LIVES
15: do you usually leave comments on chapters/fics?
Yes, if it moved me. If it was like, huh, that was okay, I just click kudos.
16: fix-it fics or au fics?
Since fix-its are canon AUs, I guess both?
17: canon-compliant or canon, what canon?
canon-compliant. I like seeing how other people solve the problems the actual writers/author did not.
18: have you ever read fics you would not confess to reading?
Like that cause actual SHAME? LOL Not anymore, I think.
19: undercover au or college au?
Depends on the ship! I like the former for Bucky/Nat and the latter for Bran/Jojen
20: what is something that immediately makes you exit out of a fic?
Bad SPAG, paragraphs of doooooom, SurpriseNOTP

Date: 2020-06-18 12:14 am (UTC)yeah, this is pretty much me too - I'll comment when it moved me, or if I have something more than "this is great" to say, but I leave far more kudos than comments

Date: 2020-06-19 06:03 am (UTC)"(Y/N) [...] took me forever to realize it meant "your name" not "Yes/No" Haha, same here. I blame the superfluous slash, which I guess was slipped in to make it clear the story isn't about a person named YN or something like that?

And now, for some reason, I'm picturing both of these ships in an 'undercover at college' AU, รก la 21 Jump Street. (But, seriously, I feel like Bran and Jojen going undercover anywhere might be weirdly hilarious, even if I'm not sure they would be any good at it. 3ER!Bran should, in theory, maybe be awesome at it, because he knows everything?)

See now I'm picturing Jojen and Bran trying to be all under-the-radar 'we're just studying and talking nerdy stuff pay us no mind' and then Jojen having a seizure and blowing the whole op. LOL Also 3ER Bran didn't even need to go undercover to bust Baelish! I wonder how that "evidence" would stand up in a court that isn't Starks though. Hmmm
