AoS 5x03 A Life Spent

Looks like AoS will continue to hit it out of the park! At least half the ep was Jemma or Daisy-centric, which YAY. Thor: Ragnarok parallels continue to abound so I had to make this GIFset. Daisy's arc this season seems to be explicitly paralleled with Thor's since Age of Ultron, which is pretty cool. And Inhumans being sent around the galaxy as gladiators? Yeah, "ambassador" is a cute euphemism for that. LOL Imagine making assumptions about the human species based only on the superpowered fighters that The Lighthouse exports. I don't think Daisy destroyed the world though, even if she'll probably be instrumental in getting the Earth blown up- anybody else notice that pretty blue thing constantly in the space background? It's odd that Jemma would notice all the constellations are the same but not notice this ginormous glowing field of gas that's out of place. I don't think that's what a jump point (like they used in GotG 2 for intragalactic travel) looks like, so maybe it's the remnants of whatever happened to Earth?


Silent-but-deadly finally got a single line. LOL Her disgust at the idea of compassion was so OTT, I loved it. XD She also seems to have a thing for Kasius? 


Jemma explaining science will always be one of my favorite things. And so necessary in a dystopia where humans are not allowed to have any knowledge! Jemma in isolation always gives her such wonderful character moments. <3 

Daisy also got another kickass elevator fight scene! The Kree are on par with Asgardians, I think, in terms of strength and longevity, so seeing her throw it down with two of them is just awesome. I also love her and Deke being at odds and him selling her out-- and hinting that he's placed her into a better long game position.


The 616 Easter egg was neat. Also oooh,a last human outpost on Earth! Looked like there was air clinging to the surface too- although there are too many Roaches there to survive a trip anyway.

Next ep is titled "A Life Earned", which is the latter half of that mantra they abide by, but I think it's also a clue that we're getting Fitz back.

Loved Daisy’s elevator fight scene. Also loved her slapping Deke after he mansplained the multiverse theory to her :)

I’m really loving this season. Though I’m missing Fitz, 3 episodes in and we’ve yet to see him!
I’m so happy to have my show back!!! I missed it so much :)

I need new AoS icons too! I really need new Daisy ones and Jemma from this season, I’d love to have one of Deke too.

The 616 easter egg made me wonder if this is actually a separate universe, and not just a dystopian future... especially since Deke also spoke about "the multiverse" in this episode.

I half-expect the MCU to end up in a new universe at the end of Infinity Wars.
