I know! I was like, this will be awesome- it's got so many of the tropes/actors/sci-fi elements that I love! And it's honestly good until the last two minutes, when Jim realizes that he can put her back in hibernation. And then she chooses to be his playmate until they die anyway, because love/fate/shitty trite BS. Like, I was just... WHAT. HOW. You were depicting a brave, honest narrative (Look at everybody calling out our white, male main for being an asshole!) and then right at the end went for SHE WAS A BETTER PERSON THAN HIM. GOOD WOMEN SACRIFICE FOR THEIR FLAWED MEN BS. I was so pissed. UGH.
