AO3 stat meme
Ganked from

I actually just looked at the numbers a few days ago, so this is good timing! (I'm nearing the end of my latest notebook, where I plot out fic arcs, bingos and GIFsets, so I wanted a summary.) Plus OTW is currently doing another drive for funds- I spend a lot of time on AO3, so I was happy to donate. One thing: I wish AO3 did stats by chapter, like ffnet does!
Total: 31 works, 203489 words posted since 2013. In general: I write an average of 3439 words per piece/chapter (although they range from 100 to 8500 words), and I tend to complete one thing every three weeks or so.
Top 5 stories by hits
1. Revolutionary (Bartimaeus Trilogy, Nat/Kitty) The hit count on this is certainly a fluke or bots. This is an old book fandom with just over a hundred fics, and this was a re-post from ffnet, where I originally put it up in 2006.
2. Learning to Fly (HTTYD, Hiccstrid) People seem to love reading this fic but hate commenting on it on Ao3? Par for course for my chaptered fics, which makes me happy I post to ffnet too.
3. Smitten (Moana, Moana/Maui) This is one of my best received pieces ever. Apparently it garners a lot of re-reads too. I think it's probably so popular because I posted it while Moana was still in theaters.
4. To Catch a Falling Star (The Hobbit, Kiliel) I still need to write the follow up for this one.
5. The Best Day (HTGAWM, Coliver) I think the summary makes readers think they are getting fluff!Coliver and this fic is probably not sweet enough to satisfy. Whoops.
Top 5 stories by kudos
1. Smitten (Moana, Moana/Maui) No surprises here. Looking at comments/reviews, this is probably the most popular thing I've ever written.
2. Learning to Fly (HTTYD, Hiccstrid)
3. Common Law (HTGAWM, Coliver) This was written as S2 was happening, so it got most of those kudos in like, a single week.
4. To Catch a Falling Star (The Hobbit/Kiliel)
5. The Best Day (HTGAWM, Coliver) Ditto Common Law for the kudos pattern here.
Honorable mention to Collateral (Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, Padme & her handmaidens), which actually has the best kudos&comment:hit ratio of anything I've written.
Top 5 stories by bookmarks
1. Smitten (Moana, Moana/Maui) Half of these are private bookmarks, so I guess it embarrasses people to have Moana fic publicly bookmarked. XDDD A lot of the comments are the kind where people are Simply Astonished this is actually well written.
2. To Catch a Falling Star (The Hobbit, Kiliel) This fic actually rules the comment thread stat, but mostly from the first chapter.
3. Learning to Fly (HTTYD, Hiccstrid)
4. Common Law (HTGAWM, Coliver)
5. Treacherous (HTTYD, Ruffnut/Eret) Pretty sure this is still the only serious Ruffret fic out there, so I think it made history in a way. This fic gets lots of Tone Of Baffled Delight comments too.
Honorable mention for Deep Tie Knot (Kimi no na wa, Mitsuha/Taki) which has the best bookmark:hit ratio of anything I've written. Also this bookmark note made my day: "LET ME YELL INTO A VOID HOW GOOD THIS CLOSURE FIC IS"
Don't know if there's a like, statistical conclusion beyond, "oh, looks like people tend to like my one-shots better than my chaptered stories" and "I write ship fic a lot." XDD Makes me want to compare to ffnet stats too, but I really need to get writing instead of navel gazing at numbers. LOL

Yeah, I just donated myself. I don't write (other than emotional, non-fandom poetry) but I utilize the sight a lot PLUS I am in a financial position to do so.
