I finished binging and OMGGGGGG SUCH AN AMAZING SEASON

I loved the action sequences, and all the locations. The hanging sequence in 2x02 and pretty much all of 2x10 had me screaming into my hands! XD And yessss, I love the new love interests! Sun's detective who loves her beating him up bwahahahaha yessssss. I need to go back and rewatch the Christmas special now! The stark economic/educational disparity between Capheus and Zakia is also fascinating. I loved his excitement over her espresso machine and how she points out that it's cheaper for her to get clean water right out of the tap than paying for it by the container from trucks, like poor people have to.

I love how much higher stakes the plot has become. The first season meandered but S2 feels like unwrapping a mystery piece by piece now. Anybody notice how Rajan's company might have a link to J-Bak? 

One of the things I really, really love about this series is how it's set in the world. Yes, that increases production costs a lot, but it's so viscerally REAL. Those neon/christmas lights, plastic chairs and white tables in the outdoor food area in Seoul, which the car chase gleefully rips through? How Sun hides out in a love hotel? The "cemetery" on the hillside. Those are so freaking normal as settings. Like, compare this to the "Japanese" settings in the first season of Heroes. Or even Pacific Rim, which got Hong Kong spot on, but didn't even try with Tokyo. The world isn't a big, disconnected place anymore. There are thousands, upon thousands of flights connecting the globe everyday. Seeing locations respected and represented as they are instead of some half-baked "impression" just means so much, and helps suspend disbelief. 

Plus I like the biological/anthropological explanations! Yay for going meta on how and why it's TOTALLY POSSIBLE to be telepathically connected to 7 random strangers around the world. :DDDD

I love, love, love the science of it all and how believable it is. And the other clusters? ♥

I want all of the icons please!! Especially Will (the more debauched he looks, the better) and Wolfgang/Kala and Lito/Dani/Hernando. But yes, all of the icons!!

You can go at your own pace! I almost always have to re-watch stuff to really get beyond just my initial !!! reactions. I love GIFfing because re-watching while capping makes the character arcs, light/dark/color choices and contrasts/parallels all the more clear! <3
