Well that was quicker than I thought! XD
So my prediction based on 2x02 came true, and Connor's loyalty to Annalise snapped! Ahhh it was glorious! (Also how very neat that he's come this far from "I'm loyal to my boss. Noone else." in 1x04.) That self-satisfied smirk in the courtroom when Zoe started ranting and the stalk out/staredown!

And then Annalise locked down Connor's continued obedience with implied threats instead, natch. XD She's always one step ahead of him and Michaela (but not Wes!), I LOVE IT. And how shaken was Connor although he had zero motive to kill Sam? Also, for the first time, he stated that he didn't kill Sam! Up until this ep, he's been labeling himself as a murderer. as if his guilt over being involved seemed to overshadow the actual facts? Even when he's trying to convince Michaela to confess with him in 1x10, he carefully avoids his own (body smashing and dumping) role in all of it.
It's also interesting that he still thinks Laurel is being swayed by Annalise. "All these ideas in your head? They're hers!" Like he obviously doesn't remember her sticking it to them to start. I think she knew they all had to shut up and stick together for all of them to walk! "This is murder! None of us know what we are talking about!" MY ASS. Ahahahahaha THIS IS SO GOOD.
Nice to see Annalise finally lose a case to keep it realistic, although really, her client lost it-- literally and figuratively. And it'll be interesting to see how she takes knowing Wes and Nate have their own agenda now too. They (maybe too) neatly show her scary submerging, have her state her history of suicidal thoughts, keep some pills of the neverending slumber variety and oh, she gets shot somehow and we all know it.
And yet with the flashforward: did Caleb shoot Annalise? It really depends on which "she" is he referring to- like it could be his sister, Annalise or Sinclair, but ??? Surely a guest star is too easy and uncomplicated an answer.
Also Conrad Ricamora has been filming a lot for 2x08, so fingers crossed my other theory is correct. hehehe
He's upfront about his defiance when confronted:
