I am so sorry that I was late to the party! This was fabulous, I loved seeing it develop and become polished! Mako's journey is harrowing and poignant. It certainly stayed with me. I also liked the glimpses of how Raleigh's background makes him understand a lot of what she's going through and how he too gets support from her. Post Kaiju war life doesn't seem like it's going to leave anyone without scars, but it seems like in coming together (just in terms of not isolating oneself, although in this context it has romance as the secondary effect ^_^) it's possible to gain closure.
